Loved that it was a smaller beach club - not a ton of chairs on top of each other, which made for great personalized service. Chairs were comfortable, food and drinks were great, beach was beautiful. “ We visited Pitaya Beach Club during our cruise stop in Costa Maya and had a great experience. We opted for the all-inclusive day pass, which made everything super easy and relaxing. The communication before arrival was excellent. Gio reached out via email and text with clear instructions and was even waiting for us when we got there. Once at the beach club, the vibe was laid-back and welcoming. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The drinks were good—not the finest and strongest we've had—but refreshing and did the trick in the tropical heat. The mango margarita was the best! The food was definitely a highlight. The fish ceviche was absolutely delicious, fresh and zesty. The included fries and tacos in our package were simple but bursting with flavor. Sometimes it's the basics done right that really hit the spot. The beach itself was beautiful and not crowded at all, which made it perfect for lounging, swimming, and just soaking in the calm. There were many beach vendors trying to sell to you but we just politely decline. At the end, Gio personally walked us to our taxi to ensure we arrived safely back to our cruise, which was a really thoughtful touch. Highly recommend Pitaya Beach Club for anyone looking for a relaxing and smooth beach day while in Costa Maya. Cost in US dollars: Taxi is 5 per person each way. “ We booked the all inclusive VIP packages through Pitaya’s website for our cruise stop at Costa Maya. When our cruise ship ported, I had a text on my phone from Gio letting me know there would be a cab outside the port waiting for me, and that our cab fare was covered by the club. We took a short cab ride to Pitaya where they immediately greeted us and made us drinks! The staff (owners) were so warm and friendly. We got to go out on a boat to a really great reef and snorkel, we saw tons of fish, sea turtles and sting rays, they took pictures of us and for us snorkeling, and this was included in our VIP package through Pitaya. They brought us back and we laid down on massage tables on the beach for a relaxing 50 minute massage. This was hands down the best massage I have ever had (don’t tell my massage therapist at home) and I frequently get massages. They kept the drinks flowing for us the whole time, they had delicious drinks and a good variety to choose from. The fruit smoothie drinks were made with actual fresh fruit (not a mix like you would find in other places). We were able to do some great shopping near the beach club for souvenirs and all of the knock-offs people look for in Mexico at great prices. When we were ready to go back to the cruise ship (so we didn’t get left behind, which honestly wouldn’t have been so bad) Gio walked us out and put us in a prepaid cab that took us back to the ship quickly. The vibe at Pitaya is what really set it apart, it wasn’t crowded and just an amazing chill bungalow on the beach to hang out! We had such a great time, I would go back tomorrow if I could. We got so much value for our money, and an unforgettable experience in Mahahual. ”

“ The Pitaya Beach Club was an absolute amazing find!!! Giovanni "Gio" is the most humble and friendly host. Gio took care of the cab to and from the ship. The beach lounging was perfect. Small space and not over crowded, as you will see the other beachfronts are extremely packed. He only takes about 20 to 25 reservations because he wants to focus on service. The food was simple but very good, but it is an absolute must to order the guacamole and the amazing ceviche!!! Highly recommended taking advantage all the massage as well. Absolutely perfect way to spend a day at the beach in Costa Maya.. ”

“ We were recently there on a cruise stop. This venue was recommended to us by Yaya Beach Club, as they were sold out and said they also owned this. The location was very nice, I loved how small and intimate it felt. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially Josue and Jose. The food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. Our 3 year old loved the clean, protected beach and the little pirate show that came through. I got a beachside massage that was excellent. We just booked another cruise for next May and will definitely be back! ”
